For the convenience of the persons who revisit our site regularly for more Feng Shui tips, the latest is right on top:
BEDROOM DOORS
Bedrooms with doors facing each other can cause conflict among the occupants. Correct this with a screen or windchimes between the two doors.
NO FOUR
Never hang a four rod windchime as four suggests death.
WINDCHIMES
Use the right material windchimes to match the different corners of your house. Metal windchimes are hung in the North, Northwest and West. Glass windchimes are also good for the North. Hang wood or bamboo windchimes in the East, Southeast and South. Earthen or porcelain windchimes are auspicious in the Sounthwest and Northeast.
Hollow tubes of windchimes channel the chi upwards and balance the flow of energy. Five, six or eight rod windchimes are good. If you have a long corridor, energy rushes through causing havoc at the other end. It is advisable to hang a hollow rod windchime around the center of the passage to break the fast flow of energy.
Windchime with five solid rods (not hollow) should be hung in bathrooms and toilets d to press down on the negative energy.
SPACE CLEARING
To break up the stagnant energy in your environment ring a bell or chimes in every corner or every room as you walk around the house. Melodious sounds break up the negative energy. Then walk around the house with a candle. Fire absorbs negativity.
Washing the floor and windows with salt water also cleanses bad energy.
FAME
Hang a windchime in the South corner of your house or living room to attract fame and popularity.
MIND YOUR STOVE
The stove is a symbol of wealth. Make sure it is clean and in working order and use all the burners regularly. Also, your stove must not be visible from the main door.
BLOCK THE DRAINS
The bathroom or toilet drains the chi away from that corner and thus adversely affects that area of your life that the corner represents. Keep the drains covered as far as possible and leave the toilet lid on.
Placing a bamboo plant in the bathroom is a very good cure since wood needs water and so it helps adsorb the water from the area.
Also keep the bathroom door closed and place a full length mirror on the door to hide it.
BA-GUA MIRROR
The Ba-Gua mirror is always placed outside the house. Always use a convex mirror to reflect bad energy away from your home. Be careful that you are not throwing this negative energy into your neighbours house as that can be very harmful. It is especially used when you have a very tall building or tower near your house. Angle the mirror to face the tower.
THREE LEGGED FROG
Always place the 3-legged frog with three coins in his mouth, facing inwards; never facing the door, or your money goes out of the house. It is best placed, hidden, under any furniture.Do not put the frog symbol in the bedroom, kitchen, bathroom or toilet or they will attract bad luck. They are best in the living room.
GIFT A BAMBOO
The Bamboo plant is a symbol of longevity. It stands for a long life and good health.
It also brings good fortune and wealth when placed in the SE corner of your living room.
BEDTIME
It is not good Feng Shui to place a clock immediately behind or directly in front of a sleeper. Place clocks on either side of the bed, but not be the middle section of the bed.
STAIRCASES
Due to gravity, chi does not travel upwards very easily. To help in getting the energy up the staircase we need to place a round faceted crystal ball at the top of the staircase.
To stop the chi from running down the staircase and sometimes out of the site, if there is a window or door in line with the staircase, place another round faceted crystal ball or wind chime between the staircase and door, to stop the chi flowing out.
MAIN DOOR
If the main door of a flat is at the foot of a flight of stairs and stands opposite the stairs, the occupants of the house are likely to suffer generally poor health and lack of energy. To correct this, raise the threshold beneath the door by about 5 cm from the floor so that you step over the threshold into the house.
If the main door is at the top of a flight of stairs and directly in front of them, money will roll straight out of the home and the occupants will find it difficult to hang on to the fruits of their labour. To correct this, place a boulder and just outside your door or place a concave mirror above the door on the outside, to pull in the money and keep it inside the house.
If the main door is directly opposite a lift, it adversely affects the fate and fortune of the occupants of the flat. To correct this, place a convex mirror above the door on the outside of the home to deflect the influence of the lift and raise the threshold beneath the door by 5 cm. So that you step over the threshold into the flat.
DRAGON AND TIGER
When you stand in the middle of your living room, facing the main door, on your left is the powerful Dragon and on your right lies the sleeping Tiger. Place the things that are in constant use, clock electrical equipment, radiator, computer, etc. more to the left half because the left belongs to the Dragon, the positive symbol of power, while the opposite half of the room, belonging to the sleeping Tiger, must be kept quiet, calm and static.
DIRECTIONS FOR CHILDREN
To be family oriented, obedient and sensitive to you, make your child sleep with his/her head in his/her Nien Yen direction. This makes a great difference in the attitude of teenagers.
While studying or working, children must face their Fu Wei direction, to improve their grades in school.
Hang a crystal in the NE corner of the bedroom. It is an excellent educational energizer.
CHIME YOUR BOSS

A pair of Butterflies is an unlucky symbol. It is a symbol of love that ends in tragedy. So that is not the pair you should have in your SW corner or your bedroom.
CLEANERS
Keep brooms, dust pans, dust bins, mops and vacuum cleaners out of sight.
They should all be kept hidden in a closet.
TELL-A-PHONE
Position your telephone so that the connection entering your instrument enters from your most auspicious Sheng Chi direction. This will bring you luck, prosperity and success.
THE CUTTING EDGE
Never gift a Knife, Swiss knife, Scissors, Corkscrew opener, Tin cutter or anything sharp and cutting unless you want to cause lots of hostility in the relationship.
To nullify the negative effects of this kind of gift, pay a token amount to the person who has given you to gift to symbolize having bought the gift.
SINK AND STOVE
Make sure you do not allow fire and water to clash in your kitchen. Stoves, ovens and cookers represent fire. Sinks, dishwashers and refrigerators represent water. Do not place them next to each other or directly opposite each other.
It is as bad to place your cooker or stove along the wall that is common to the bathroom or toilet.
The kitchen must not be in the Northwest of the house. If this cannot be avoided, see that you do not place your stove in the NW corner of your kitchen.
HEALTH - II

CRYSTALS
Hang a cut crystal ball on a window that gets direct sunlight, bringing in rainbow colours into your space. This is especially good for relationships in the SW corner as the SW element is earth and Crystal is the best representative for earth.
It also helps to deflect negative energy away which may be coming from a tower or highrise building closeby.
ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
Electronic Equipment like your T.V., Stereo Set, VCD Player, etc. belong to the Metal element and are excellent for energizing the West sector. Place them in the West corner of your house or in the West of your living room to effectively channel the energy of your environment to create the potential for an enormous amount of good fortune lasting for 20 years starting 2003.
PLANTS
Place plants in the SE and East corners of your home and living room, to enhance your Wealth and Family luck respectively.
Bonsai plants are not recommended as their growth has been stunted. And artificial plants have not wood value.
Make sure the plants look healthy. The Jade plant is particularly lucky in the SE corner.
Avoid thorny plants like cactus or rose. Plants with rounded leaves are the most auspicious.
Do not place plants in the SW, NE or center, as these are the earth corners and wood/plants are destructive for earth.
Plants in the bedroom are inauspicious.
SPACE CLEARING
This ritual helps break up the stagnant energy and brings fresh energy into your home.
Clean the floors and carpets thoroughly. Starting from the main door go round the inside of your house, clockwise, and also clockwise round each room, first while ringing a bell or a chime, next with a white candle and lastly with some incense. Leave the candle and incense by the main door where you finish, on a neat table.
Do this once a week to keep the flow of energy fresh.
INFIDELITY
Never place a mirror or a TV to reflect your bed. This brings infidelity, a third person or interference in your marraige. If you do not wish to change the position, drape a cloth over it to stop the reflection.
SAILING SHIP
A model or picture of a sailing ship stacked with gold, kept just inside the main door brings lots of wealth luck. Important thing is that the boat must always be sailing inwards not out.
This is very auspicious in the home or shop or office.
PETS
Feng Shui is about balancing both Yin and Yang energy in your home. Yin is female and represents all things still, quiet and dark. Yang is male and represents all things active, bright and alive. A house that has nobody at home during most part of the day, lacks movement and it is said that the dragon's life breath cannot work its miracles at bringing opportunities and good fortune.
Dogs, cats and other lively animals bring the house to life with the movement they produce, just as children, bright lights and loud music do. Thus keeping pets in the house is considered auspicious. And if you can love these animals, it is also highly therapeutic.
THREE CHINESE COINS
Three chinese coins with a square hole in the centre should be tied together by a red ribbon or string and carried in your purse for a never-ending flow of money. A very handy and effective tip of all wealth enhancers.
In business, you could even stick them with a tape on your cash register, or invoice book or computer or whatever is representative of you generating money. The side with the four characters facing outward.
